Creature Counseling is a veterinary animal behavior consulting service. It offers primarily three areas of service:
 
1) Consultation services for animal behavior problems. Through compassion and understanding, an environment of team work is established between the veterinarian, guardian (client), and animal (patient). The ultimate goal is the resolution of the behavior problem(s) and the enhancement of the bond between the client and patient.
 
2) Services for the prevention of the development of animal behavior problems. This includes such services as puppy socialization classes, kitten classes, and behavioral handouts for general distribution. The ultimate goal is enhancement of the bond between animals and their guardians and the prevention of the dissolution of the relationship between the two parties due to unreasonable expectations or the lack of understanding of normal animal behavior.

3) Sales of animal behavior products. These products are used to augment the treatment of animal behavior problems or prevent their development.

Creature Counseling is a veterinary service. Physical problems that are contributing factors to or possibly even the cause of the behavior problem are identified and treated appropriately by working cooperatively with the referring veterinarian. Also, the use of medication as an adjunct to treatment of the behavior problem can be prescribed, when appropriate. Developments in the understanding of animal behavior and the application of veterinary medicine in this area are an integral part of the services offered by Creature Counseling.
